The difference between hot and cold galvanized steel wire Rope

- Jul 19, 2017 -

The essential difference between hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope and cold galvanized steel wire rope is that the zinc layer of hot dip galvanizing is better than that of cold galvanizing because of its zinc-iron alloy layer and corrosion resistance. Hot-dip galvanized steel wire rope surface status because of the hot-dip zinc alloy, so his color should be black. And the plating surface does not have the chemical reaction, so still is the zinc color, looks quite bright. In general, hot-dip galvanized zinc layer is thicker, corrosion resistance is better. Zinc zinc coating is thinner, corrosion resistance is worse. (unless the zinc layer of cold galvanizing reaches the extent of the thick zinc layer)
