The surface of the "compacted" wire rope is smooth, which improves the contact condition between the wire rope and the pulley and reduces the wear of the wire rope and the pulley. The metal cross-sectional area increases, the contact condition between the steel wire and the steel wire is improved, and the internal stress during the use of the steel wire rope is reduced, so that the bending fatigue life of the steel wire rope is prolonged and the cost is reduced.
This figure shows that when replacing a Blue Strand 6×36 wire rope with an Endurance Dyform 6 wire rope, the service life of the wire rope is “doubled”.
